History

Happy trails park history.

From Dilapidated to fresh

Our Happy Trails RV Park sat nearly vacant for 20 years before we arrived. It had been abandoned. In its unkempt state, it was barely recognizable as an RV park. In order to bring it to what it once was, (an RV park and campground), some major changes had to take place.

It was from there, it was decided to rebuild from the ground up.

Moriarty NM has a long history of the “Wild West” meets farm and country

You may recognize “Happy Trails” from the Roy Rogers & Dale Evans 1940’s & 1950’s radio and television show of the same name. Roy had many endeavors and holdings in his lifetime, including restaurants, brands, various product endorsements, and most importantly land.
In 1986 Roy was part of Thousand Trails Inc, which opened 45 RV parks.

Today we retain the history of the park, its origins, and our past, yet we shine in the modern upgrades that have been accomplished in the past two years.

We are a local New Mexican, family-owned, and veteran proud proud RV park.

Upgrades

Upgrades/renovations to the park include whole park Wifi, upgraded laundry facilities, coded shower access, and new playground & dog-run.
All our sites are fully level and have 50 & 30 amp connections with included water, sewer and free-wifi.
We are even looking to get certified to dispense LP on site. So in the near future, you will get your propane tanks filled here.
